The minor pentatonic scale is the most common scale used in rock and blues solos. It is typically the first scale that guitar players learn, because the fingering is easy. Knowing this one scale will enable you to solo in all blues tunes and the majority of rock songs.
The A minor pentatonic scale fingering in 5th position here is 2 octaves. Practice it until you have it memorized, you'll be using it a lot :)
